The eldorado name plate was used the top of line cadillac's for the first couple generations. Starting in 1971 the eldorado would take on its 7th rendition and became what most people know as a cadillac. Big, comfortable, and just more of everything in general was the new cadillac. The eldorado had grown to an astonishing 19 ft and looking even longer when the custom fender skirts were added. The new style did wonders for sales with over 51k being sold in 73 it seemed that everything was going great. In 76 gm heavily promoted the eldorado as the last american convertible making many purchase them as investments. This one is a very good example of that. With the car having only 77028 actual miles this cadillac will go great in any collection or garage. The paint is original in a rich white, the body is excellent condition. Pop the hood and the huge rebuilt 500 ci motor looks right at home and even has room to spare. The chrome bumper upfront is in good condition and is a quality piece that only fleetwood could produce. The tan leather is in exceptional condition with the padding and cushion being just as nice. Please note new ac controls will need to be purchased. These cadillac eldorado convertibles are becoming a hot ticket item at the bigger name classic car auctions throughout the country. Their values are going straight up! Here''''s a chance to invest in a nice 1974 cadillac eldorado convertible that needs some tlc,!!! But is all there and ready to be restored to new again. In, motor and transmission were rebuilt in 2015. Mechanically, it is very sound. The front seat needs a good cleaning or maybe refinished, but there are no rips or tears in the leather. The rear seat still looks very good. The door panels need to be replaced, but the carpet is still in very good condition. The white convertible is new with no rips or tears. The top goes up and down with ease. The a/c compressor was removed but the owner still has it. The cruise control isn''''t working along with the clock. The radio still works along with the power antenna. All power seats and windows work as they should. All of the trim pieces that are missing are there (see pictures) and were kept in the trunk.
