Variants include the mgb gt three-door 2+2 coupé (1965–74), the six-cylinder roadster and coupé mgc (1967–69), and the eight-cylinder 2+2 coupé, the mgb gt v8 (1973–76). Replacing the mga in 1962, production of the mgb and its variants continued until 1980, achieving sales for the mgb, mgc and mgb gt v8 combined of 523,836 cars. In structure the mgb was an innovative, modern design in 1962, utilizing a monocoque structure instead of the traditional body-on-frame construction used on both the mga and mg t-types and the mgb's rival, the triumph tr series. However components such as brakes and suspension were developments of the earlier 1955 mga with the b-series engine having its origins in 1947. The lightweight design reduced manufacturing costs while adding to overall vehicle strength. Wind-up windows were standard, and a comfortable driver's compartment offered plenty of legroom. A parcel shelf was fitted behind the seats. The mgb achieved a 0–60 mph time of just over 11 seconds. The 3-bearing 1798 cc b-series engine produced 95 hp at 5,400 rpm — upgraded in october 1964 to a five-bearing crankshaft. The majority of mgbs were exported to the united states. In 1975 us-market mgb engines were de-tuned to meet emission standards, ride height was increased by an inch , and distinctive rubber bumpers were fitted to meet bumper standards. The mgb was one of the first cars to feature controlled crumple zones designed to protect the driver and passenger in a 30 mph impact with an immovable barrier. This exceptional example is arguably one of the finest mgb''s i have ever seen. Pampered and babied by3 owners from new, the car has always been kept garaged and used on sunny summer days only. Everything is in mint condition on this car, the paint, interior, top, brightwork, there are really no flwas to point out here, just just a great well kept car. Fitted with larger 15" wheels, radial tires, and a mahogany dash, the car is a great handling machine ready to be pressed into immediate service.

The MG T series of cars (including the TA, TB, TC, TD, and TF) was a basic body-on-frame convertible sports car produced from 1936 through to 1955. It was replaced by the MGA. The 1950 TD combined the TC's drivetrain but with modified hypoid geared rear axle with the MG Y-type chassis and a familiar T-type style body. An independent suspension using coil springs in front was new, based on that fitted to the MG Y-type saloons, as were rack and pinion steering, smaller 15-inch disc type road wheels and a left-hand drive option. Bumpers and over-riders became standard for the first time. The car was also 5 inches wider with a track of 50 inches. In 1950 the TD MkII was introduced, produced alongside the standard car, with a more highly tuned engine with 8.0:1 compression ratio giving 57 bhp at 5500 rpm. It also featured twin fuel pumps revised dampers and a higher rear axle ratio. Nearly 30,000 TDs had been produced, including about 1700 Mk II models , when the series ended in 1953 with all but 1656 exported. 23,488 were exported to the United States. An example tested by The Motor magazine in 1952 had a top speed of 77 mph and could accelerate from 0-60 mph in 18.2 seconds. A fuel consumption of 26.7 miles per imperial gallon was recorded. This very nice and fully sorted example was built in September 1951. Fully restored and well driven, this car is not a trailer queen blue ribbon restoration but an honest frame off/frame up restoration done with driving in mind. The Engine was rebuilt with recent cylinder head work (new valves, new guides, new seals, new rockers arms, new push rods, and new adjuster screws). New big end bearings. Crankshaft has been magnafluxed. New water pump, new fuel warning light sending unit, new battery, all new brakes (new master cylinder, six new wheel cylinders, and new brake shoes), rebuilt shocks, new tires and tubes, custom exhaust, new gear reduction starter, new voltage regulator and new generator. This TD has a nice walnut instrument panel facia, Moto Lita steering wheel, and custom made walnut gear shift knob. The Front suspension has been rebuilt with new poly bushings and new spring pans and new controls arms. The Rear axle has new heavy duty half shafts (by Dave Clark/Jerry Austin), new seals and new bearings. The Transmission has been upgraded to Skyhook Engineering 5 speed for relaxed highway driving. H2 carburetors have been gone thru with new gaskets, jets, and needles. Top material is cloth, not vinyl. I believe it was made by Robbins.

Fiberfab velocidad inc was a kit car manufacturer founded by warren "bud" goodwin in 1964. Goodwin was a former sports-car racer and a keen fisherman, born in 1921 or 1922. His earlier company, sports car engineering had manufactured microplas mistral bodies under licence and sold them as the spyder. He founded fiberfab in 1964. In 1967 goodwin was arrested on suspicion of murder for shooting his 28-year-old second wife, jamaica. The police said he had found jamaica with farbus kidoo. Goodwin claimed the shooting was accidental. He was charged with the voluntary manslaughter and sentenced to 12 months imprisonment. He died in jail on 26 december 1968 of a heart attack. Fiberfab started building street rod parts and body panels for mustangs in los angeles before moving on to kit cars. The company moved first to sunnyvale, and then in 1966 to santa clara. It had a branch in west germany from 1967 until 1973 at ditzigen. The american company was still operating at santa clara in 1970 after the death of goodwin. In 1971 fiberfab was a division of concept design america, a california-based company, atr incorporated, a pennsylvania corporation, acquired ownership of fiberfab in november 1974. Around this time the company became named fiberfab incorporated. In 1977 fiberfab and james crank's jdex company combined to make a steam-powered record attempt car using the aztec 7 body-kit powered by a lmc corporation steam engine developed as part the lear steam bus program. They planned the speed record attempt for august at bonneville.] the car failed to exceed 100 mph and was sold to the barber-nichols engineering company. Barber-nicholls rebuilt it. On its first attempt it reached 111 mph. Robert barber at bonneville on august 19, 1985 reached 145. 607 mph but the car caught fire and was unable to complete its second run. The car is on display at the national automobile museum in reno, nevada. By 1979 the company was based at minneapolis. In 1983 the company was sold to classic motor carriages (at the time fiberfab incorporated's largest competitor) and renamed fiberfab international. This cute little mgtd replica was built in 1981, is based on a 1974 vw chassis and is thusly titled. It has been in the current collectors hands for many years and has always been kept stored indoors and is really in very nice condition. It was recently recommissioned to be prepared for sale-with new a new battery, fuel system overhaul, and new tires-and runs and drives great. It is fitted with a jc whitney type musical horn. The chassis on this car appears completely rust free. Its a great little fun car for summer time cruising, classic styling with the unbveatable reliability of a vw.
