The car was repainted, rewired ,and had the bumpers replated some time back, and has been regularly maintained. The car runs and drives exceptionally well. Finished in a very nice color combination and correct in every manner cosmetically (still retaining its original interior), the car needs nothing to be enjoyed immediately, in fact it could be driven home with confidence.

The car came out of california and is a completely rust free car. The car was repainted, and had the interior redone at some point in the past, and has some minor paint issues which are pictured-a few cracks on the rear at the top of the trunk, but really presents quite well from 4 or 5 feet. A lot of recent mechancial work has been performed including rebuilt gear box, new u joint and yoke installed, brake work, a new electric fuel pump, higher performance stromberg carburator was installed as well, the car runs, shifts, and stops we;;and could be driven aroudn town with confidence but should probably have some further sorting befor a long distance run. Some trim bits are yet to be installed such as the visors and chrome window trin inserts but are with the car, as is the original turn signal lever to replace that clunky aftermarket thing. I will say the steering wheel is very nicely recast, one of the better ones i have seen. The hubcaps are new.

The dash has a small slightly faded area from the car’s texas days, hardly noticeable. Recent work includes all mechanical components from the battery, new in 2014 to the windshield wipers, rebuilt in 2007. Invoices accompany the car. The exception is the engine which has 100+/- lbs. Compression and runs quiet, powerful without oil consumption. This cadillac came with gm’s original automatic transmission which works easily and kicks down when needed. There is also an electric fan in front of the regular radiator. The electrics are 12 volts, and the wheels ride on radial tires. The brakes are rebuilt and stop the car appropriately. Last memorial day weekend we drove the car to falmouth, ma., on the cape, about 475 miles, in rain and in traffic, without diff.

A nicely restored elegant cadillac sedan with air conditioning, both front and rear. Flat head v-8 with automatic transmission makes it a joy to drive. The paint and interior are very good. It has wide whitewalls with fender skirts. This car also has been converted to a 12 volt system with an alternator to upgrade it's driveability. This was the first year of car production after wwii and numbers were limited. This car is a true luxury car of its day and is great fun to drive. Air Conditioning
